After 18 years of practicing dermatology, I am writing with news
that is both exciting and bittersweet. I have recently accepted a
position as a Medical Science Liaison and will be stepping away
from clinical practice.
When I first began my career, I could have never imagined the
incredible journey that lay ahead. What I thought would be a
career focused on treating skin conditions became so much more. It
became a privilege to walk alongside thousands of patients through
life's joys, challenges, milestones, and uncertainties.
The relationships we built are what I will miss the most - the
conversations, the laughter, the stories, and the opportunity to
truly know my patients that made coming to work each day so
rewarding. You have taught me lessons about resilience, courage,
faith, humor, and grace that I will carry with me for the rest of
my life.
In my new role, I will continue to work in dermatology, helping to
advance scientific education and bringing new research and
treatments to healthcare providers and ultimately to patients.
While my role is changing, my passion for improving patient care
remains the same.
Thank you for trusting me with your care. Thank you for allowing
me to be a small part of your lives. Thank you for the kindness,
support, and relationships that have enriched my life far more
than you may realize.
Although it is difficult to step away from clinical care, I leave
with a heart full of gratitude and confidence that you will
continue to receive excellent care from the providers who will
follow. I will always look back on these 18 years as one of the
greatest blessings of my life.
Wishing you and your loved ones health, happiness, and all the
best in the years ahead.
With heartfelt gratitude,
Lauren Stewart, PA-C
